I have a 2001 (51 reg) Peugeot 206 Roland Garros for auction which I've owned since 2004 and was used daily up till October 2008.
Spec:
1.6i 16v engine with 5 speed manual gearbox. Half leather interior. Automatic rain sensing windscreen wipers. Electric windows (front and rear). Air conditioning with climate control and digital display. 6 disc CD changer. Full glass panoramic sunroof with electric blind. Remote central locking.
Good points:
Nice smooth engine. 4 good alloys with good tyres (tyres have only done about 800 mile prior to car being taken off the road). Had a new wheel bearing fitted at the front in 2008. Some service history and have full ownership documents.
Bad points:
Car has been off the road since October 2008 (last driven in March 2009 from my old house to new house - less than a mile but drove ok).
MOT ran out October 2008 and the car is currently on SORN.
Both rear pads and discs need replaced, rear passenger side brake binds so may also need a caliper, the handbrake cable on the passenger side has snapped.
Clutch slips badly (especially when going up hill) and has a squeal so needs replaced sooner rather than later.
Small dent on the top of front drivers side wing.
Tailgate window got smashed a few months back, had the window replaced same day but there must be some bits of glass still in the tailgate as can hear it rattling when opening and closing the tailgate.
Something wrong with the digital display for the mileage and the display in centre of dash that has the time, radio station details and temperature on it - the displays seem to be a bit scrambled - apparently this could easily be fixed by replacing the bulbs at the back of the unit but I'm not sure about this myself, I'm no mechanic.
I had the battery out the car for a while so the radio needs a new code.
Small chip in the windscreen (been there since I got the car, but passed all MOT's with no advisories about the chip).
Drivers door only locks and unlocks with remote central locking as the lock has seized (I only ever used the remote to open and close car so it's probably seized due to never being used - the lock may just need a bit of oil in it but I'm no expert so not 100% sure).
I've been as honest about the car as I can but if I find anything else then I will update the advert.
If car doesn't sell soon then I'll fix it up, MOT, service and sell as a runner, I can get more than twice what I'm asking if I fix up and sell.
Collection would need to be after 4pm weekdays or anytime weekends, or if these times are unsuitable for you then once I have payment for the car I'll give you keys, sort out owners document and you can remove car from my driveway at a time that suits you.
This is a private sale so no warranty offered or implied. I have set a reserve for the car which is less than what I can get if I break the car myself, but I personally feel that the car is too good to break. I will buy parts needed for the car and fit them when I've got the time. Once fitted I'll adjust the price accordingly.
Car starts and drives, could be driven away but bear in mind the clutch is slipping badly, problems with back brakes, no MOT & no tax so if you choose to drive away then you do so at your own risk. I would advise using a trailer or recovery motor.
Car is located at my home in Edinburgh.
